Letter from Current Chair.
In the last decade, the Giving Circle has made a tremendous impact on improving the quality of life in the Seacoast. We capped off our tenth cycle with a record breaking fundraising year, and have contributed over $500,000 to our community since our inception! Beyond the dollars, we have donated countless hours to our community through our volunteer projects. I am awed by what we have accomplished in the last decade and continue to be impressed by what we can achieve when we work collectively.
We have evolved as a group in the last ten years. Our membership has grown, our gift size has grown, and we have been able to help multiple organizations in a cycle through our grants. This adaptive approach is a core strength of our group and will be critical as we enter our next decade.
If you are not yet a member, please consider joining! Membership requires a minimum donation of $200 per year to add to our collective gift, and an optional time commitment that is flexible depending on how much time you have to participate.
We have multiple events for members and the community during the year, including a speaker panel of local and statewide experts who educate us about our current topic of focus in the fall, a members' meeting and round table discussion in early winter, a fundraising celebration for our grant recipients in late spring, and various opportunities for direct service volunteer projects throughout the year.
Please feel free to contact me for more information. I look forward to meeting, reconnecting and sharing laughter with you as we continue our good work in the coming year.
